Some of the Earth’s most beautiful organisms- Gold fishes that can be found in all aquariums will be a subject of an ambitious new research programs.

It will be the first gold-fish study by a 15-year old South Australian school student who revealed the fact that goldfish have a three-second memory. Rory Stokes of the Australian science and Mathematics school in Adelaide performed a simple experiment to find out the memory status of his beloved pet.

He discovered that goldfish have short memory spans. In addition to this he tried to open people’s minds to the cruelty of keeping fish in small tanks.

He concluded that goldfish has a memory span of less than three seconds and that no matter how small its living space is nothing but a tank. It will discover new objects and places within the small fish tank.

He conducted a small experiment of teaching a small group of fish to swim to a beacon by establishing a memory connection between the beacon and food.
